You know the saying 'sequels can never hold a candle to the original films', right? Well in this rare case (in the musical sense), Helplessness Blues is not just an amazing follow-up effort after the explosive self-titled debut, it damn-near surpasses it in compositional complexity and tone. Its a much more upbeat sounding album (which is my only gripe personally) but that doe not hinder it in the slightest.
